Monday, April 03, 2006 I've finally finished Winter Sonata last Friday night. I liked it. I wouldn't want any of that stuff happen to me but it's nice being an observer to all that drama. Though I was a bit surprised that no one died at the end. It got me thinking about the whole dating and relationship thing. What sort of expectations do people have when they enter into one? Is there a difference between 'dating' someone or being in a 'relationship' with someone? It seems all so confusing to me, though the latter sort of carries an idea of time -- as in you're in it because you really like someone and want to be with that individual on a long term basis. Dating on the other hand, seems shorter. Maybe in the order of weeks or even months. You wouldn't want to invest as much emotionally into it knwoing well ahead of time that there is no potential for anything longterm...hence the name *dating* lol. frig..while we're at it why don't we just call it having "friends with benefits"...oh better yet, fuck-buddies. Ya i like the sound of that...it's so trashy but it describes the situation perfectly. You're essentially in it for one thing and one thing: you're sick and tired of being alone on a weeknight/weekend and you need to get ur rocks off. So how many fuck-buddies does one have to go thru before you finally find that ONE. Your Jung Yu-Jin or Kang Joon-Sang? I don't know. I really doubt it. Otherwise we wouldn't need divorce lawyers. posted by Ben | | | 2:02 PM |
