Is it me or have I become increasingly impatient. Running simulations takes so damn long, and there isn't much time left before tape out. I mean, i did squat today, except for like 2 sims which really didn't tell me anything except that there is too much unwanted resistance. What the hell...and that took me what, 40 minutes? Honestly how do they expect us to get stuff done with shit equipment....not to mention co-worker's been hoggin' all the processor time all freakin' day, so i relegated myself to using another workstation instead. GRR ^2

I used to be able to get by quite well with about 4 hours of sleep (that was back in 3rd/4th year). I've been getting about 6 lately and it's becoming unbearable. I need more! Stupid Korean dramas keeping me up till 2 in the morning..and then finishing up each episode with a freakin' cliffhanger. Not cool. Anyway my friend cory let me borrow his set of "Winter Sonata". It's an ok series, but the circumstances the characters have to go thru are a bit unrealistic. But whatever it makes for good drama, and it *is* a drama series. I've ended up watching it in fast foward mode and reading the subtitles because some parts just progress too damn slowly. BUt ya, in a nutshell: girl and guy fall in love in High School. Guy gets into a car accident and apparently dies. Guy infact survived but lost all of his memory. Guy re-enters the girl's life as someone else with a diff name 10 years later. Girl still thinks her former love is still dead. But girl finds out that guy was infact her HS sweethart and decide to get married. Guy ragains memory after a *2nd* auto accident and now remembers everything. But guy finds out that guy and girl are infact half-siblings and therefore can't marry. Well...that's how far I got. But c'mon it's so hilarious that you kinda feel sorry for them.

Damn i've been so lazy. So lazy infact that i forgot it has been 3 years since my first blog entry on blogger. March 26 was the actual day but who's counting. You can check out entry #1 by clicking on the archives thing.

Stressed out as hell at work and over graduate schoool. I don't think i'm getting accepted into ECE. But i did defer my acceptance into MedBio, so i think it's time to call them up and tell him "I WANT IN". I need to find a potential supervisor first.

Work wise, i've got two words to say: tape out. OMG It's such a bitch. The design keeps changing and there's always new shit that i have to deal with. Plus the circuit sims don't look very good in the updated design kit. I'm so worried. Ok one thing at a time. Only a few more weeks left. But I *am* worrying cuz after this contract's over what am I gonna do? will i go back to cali or stay in TO?

Happy Bday to me. It was infact last weekend (March 2nd) but I've been sick and lazy and busy at the same time to post anything. I'm now 5^2 years old. It's kinda sad in a way because I can now count my age in terms of centuries. On the bright side, car insurance will be lower. Trade off? ya totally. Thanks to those who remembered! I was pleasantly surprised by the number of people infact. Even more thanks to those got me stuff or bought me meals because you rock.

I'm so tired right now, not because i have a cold but I didn't get to sleep until nearly 4am the night before. It was totally worth it though, for I went to the Docks to attend the Indie Awards show followed by an awesome gig by the Stars -- ya know those dudes/gals on the Arts&Crafts label out of Montreal. Anyway the trip to the venue was a bitch. The Parliament St. bus does not go beyond Front St., so my friend and I had to make the epic walk ALLL THE WAY down to the docks. Sometimes it really sucks to not have a car, and yesterday was one of those times. The awards show was pretty cool, lotsa cameras, and flashy coloured lights. That indian guy from the CBC hosted, but maybe the crowd was a bit young (it was an all-ages event), becauase not many seemed to have gotten his jokes. Hopefully ya'll Toronto folk will get to see the show if it ever gets aired on TV. There were a few 'obscure' Canadian and Int'l bands/acts that are worth checking out. This one guy particularly, called Magnet, who came ALL THE WAY from Norway..ok maybe not, he was on tour with the Stars and lastnight was the last gig...was REALLY good. Very folk-ish sounding, kinda like Sufjan but with electronic sound manipulation. Really talented guy. It was him a slide guitar, a bunch of pedals and just a whole lot of awesomeness. He rocked the place. The crowd was a bit impatient when Magnet was on stage because they've been standing there (and so have I mind you) for about 4 hours waiting for the Stars to play. A bit of a shame but they i'm sure they appreciated the music too. Check him out!

Then of course the Stars came out afterwards. Great show. The band sounded AMAZING live. The entire band had such great chemistry, especially the two singers. I think they played almost all the songs from their current Album "Set Yourself on Fire" and a few that I didn't recognize. They did two encore pieces. Amazing as usual. They are by far one of the best bands I've heard, even better than the other band which also haisl from Montreal. That's just my opinion though, don't hunt me down or send me hate mail. I like their music. It's written really well -- so melodic, so thoughtfully arranged and performed so with such passion (especially the dude singer whose name I don't remember).
