I hope i don't forget anything. Most importantly, not lose anything while i'm abroad. It won't be the end of the world, but it'll certainly make the trip a less enjoyable one. I think this time 'round, the flight across the ocean won't be as boring as my last trip. With all the high tech personal screens, video on demand things and video games, it's gonna be a smooth journey. Then again, i haven't gone on the flight yet. I didn't realize I brought so much stuff (or maybe garbage?) with me. I'll definitely rent a smaller place the next time I need temporary housing. Two days left before the 'big day'. The idea that i'll be flying halfway around the globe, across 12 time zones really hasn't sunk in yet. My life as an undergrd is *over*. I don't feel all that different or "grown up". Heck, I didn't even seem like much. Is it really that big of an accomplishment? Yeah ok, so i'm an engineer. SO? what's that gonna do if I can't find a job. I should stop being so pessimestic (sp?) One for graduate school and another for a "job" that is on campus. I don't think i'll get the job though because apparently recent grads (with possible work experience?) are also being interviewed. Then again I have experience too. I dunno. Sometimes...wait....almost all the time of the time, my confidence is near non existant. I'll see how things go. Seems that most ppl I know either have already been accepted into graduate studies or have jobs lined up or are in the process of striking a deal with companies that want to hire them. I guess I have two choices. 1. Get my lazy ass off the couch and do some real job searching or 2. Go back to school for another year, raise my GPA, write LSATs and apply to law school I'm jettin' off in 8 days. Saturday, April 16, 2005 One exam down, 2 to go. The radio systems exam went ok, I think. I mainly messed up on figuring out the far field array factor plot. Other than that the exam seemed like it was straight up number crunching. 2 weeks and counting before i take off to Japan Yay. Stay tuned cuz i'll try to update as much as possible...with pictures of course! Just a few things to finish off and it's OVER! In other news, a friend passed this on to me yesterday. Google Maps now has satellite photos of the streets that you're looking at. It's crazy! It only works for USA & Canada at the moment. The best images seems to be in California...am I biased? anways I could clearly see my old Cali Apartment from the pics.
