Thursday, September 22, 2005 Autoblog contest entry #1 10. Man runs internet campaign raising funds to buy himself a Ferrari -- I could so relate to this. I'd be a bit modest and go for a BMW or something though. 9. A genuine traffic jam -- This is hilarious too. I have a thing for funny car related things don't I? It's pun-tastic. 8. Hack into OnStar -- I love this article so much just because it shows you how to tear things apart. Makes you feel like an outlaw in a way. 7. Wrecked Exotics -- One of many from autoblog. Just makes me grin knowing that some doood out there just totaled a $300k auto. 6. Hydrogen you can hold in your hand -- It's good to read about adavancements in alternative fuels (and their storage). Frig...with gas prices these days, hybrids etc. are looking more and more attractive. 5. EPA asks Toyota and Honda to lower fuel economy estimates for hybrids -- Yeah seriously. Some of their estimates are just a bit too optimistic. The Prius rental I had never got close to the mileage they claimed. But the Bay Area is rather hilly. 4. Nokia lends Bluetooth support to new VW Passat -- It just makes sense. Makes your life easier and the standard can be adopted by all phone makers and car manufacturers since it's like an IEEE thing. 3. Win a 2GB IPod Nano + FM Transmitter -- I love it. 'Nuff said. 2. Scion xB Release Series 2.0 -- I just can't get enough of this car. It's soooo awesome! 1. Wheels of steel: Scion xB doubles as DJ booth -- Scion xB's are awesome. My friends don't like it, but I think the shape is really cool. and I'm into the whole DJ'ing thing. Putting the two together is like my dream come true. Too bad they don't sell Scions in Canada.
