Sunday, July 31, 2005 I saw another movie last night, at my parents' home, who happens to have a DVD player. I rented something called "Last Life in the Universe". Dialogue is in Japanese/Thai/English. Very interesting film because I got so confused with what actually happened and what didn't happen at the end. *really*. I definitely need to see it again to make sense of things -- sorta like Memento. Full of contrasts and similarities all over the place. There isn't much dialogue, but the action sometimes speaks louder than words I guess. Great photography in terms of othe way the scenes were framed. Then I rented Blade 3, the "extreme" edition to just test out how well the decoder handles DTS-ES 6.1. Dad doesn't even have a 6.1 set up. LOL. It was just mega friggin loud, and I could hear the rumbling all the way in the basement (the stereo is on top floor of the house). It wasn't from the sub woofer because I had that turned off.
