Thursday, July 01, 2004 So Six Flags Magic Mountain was not disappointing like Canada's Wonderland. Although a bit on the ghetto side, the thrill rides were, in fact, quite thrilling. Unlike someone I know we actually managed to go on *all* the rides in one day. It helped a lot when you go on a weekday. Anyways, there are two really awesome rides: Deja Vu and the Viper X. I felt really dizzy after getting off these rides (that's a good thing). We got 1/2 price tickets too, which made it even better. Being a theme park and all, the food prices were just ridiculous. Paid $8 for a burger and fries combo. Go figure! Maybe I'm getting old but Disneyland wasn't as 'fun' as I thought it would be. There are two parks, the old Disneyland and the new California Adventure. I chose the second one. The place is very well kept and everyone is extremely friendly. There were some rides but not as intense as Six Flags for obvious reasons (they have 10 year-olds going on them). The Tower of Terror was the highlight of the day. The ride is good, only if you get to sit in the first row. The second highlight was being a part of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Play It "game". It is a complete replica of the real show, including a game show host. And FYI, the host was NOT Regis! There were cameras everywhere to capture everything at every angle, and of course a LOT of fancy lighting. The rest of the day was spent checking out the various themed sections of the park and of course learning about how Disney does animations. Happy Canada day to all. I'll be spending it in Mexico getting drunk! CYA posted by Ben | | | 12:34 PM |
