Visited the 37th Annual Cherry Blossom festal (and parade) in Japantown yesterday with the co-ops. Fun day I must say. A little hot, but good in general. The food stalls were selling stuff like udon noodles, tako yaki (BBQ squid), green tea icecream, yams and other traditional Japanese grub. I saw Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco, in person shaking hands with parade-goers (is that a word?). That guy is taller than I thought.

I bought this Japanese softdrink called "Ramunade". It kinda tastes like cream soda. Some people might know what I am talking about. It comes in this glass bottle with a marble in it. You have to push the marble into the bottle "open" it. I didn't buy the glass bottle version though. The one I bought came in an aluminum can shaped like a bottle! It's great because it has a twistable cap, so it's reusable. Gotta give credit to the Japanese for coming up with stuff like that.

We got bored of the parade and headed up to Berkeley to get Cal t-shirts. I picked up a navy blue polo-style shirt. It's nice but I don't think I'll wear it to school :D

Parking was really bitchy yesterday. We left the car at this lot that said "reserved for military personnel". We weren't gonna stay that long anyway. The car next to us already got a parking ticket so somebody suggested we take that ticket and put that on our car. Well, I suppose it worked because we got away with it.

We also stopped for a few minutes on campus. Damn it William Hung wasn't around.
