Found out how all that spy-ware/ad-ware got on my machine! Somehow the wmplayer.exe file got replaced with a malicious clone. As a result whenever I pop in a CD, media player would launch and thus starts the download of all sorts of weird CRAP. People who write this software should be shot.

Something stupid I've said in the past that I thought was completely innocent at the time: "so you're from Israel...do you speak Jewish?"
