Tuesday, November 18, 2003 Having waited for 5 whole weeks, my first copy of EEtimes magazine has finally arrived. I think it is one of the most eventful ones I've had since exams back in April. The highlight has got to be the hockey game at HP pavilion, the pre-game filet mignon ("fill it mig non" lol) AND learning to drive a manual transmission car (thanks Chris). I think I am getting used to it, but there's definitely room for improvement. I'm really excited for the upcoming week too because there's gonna be so much more going on. The concert is next Saturday, mom's coming to visit, going down to Vegas (I know, again) and LA for Thanksgiving. LA is gonna be cool because I'll be able to catch up with a friend from Hart house orchestra. posted by Ben | | | 7:14 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2003 A group of us went go carting on Sunday. Everyone especially me had a really really good time, even though I ranked 10th out of 12. I might go again, in a month or two because it costs $30 for a 2 minute "qualifying" and a 12-minute "race". I was up till almost 3am last night practicing. Perhaps in a few months I'll begin to sound like I know what I'm doing. Anyone who has not seen scary movie 3 should go see it. I'm so happy. I am happy because it was my first time EVER to buy stuff online. Well...my first time buying something Tangible. I already booked a hotel room in Vegas a month before that. WOOHOO! I had planned to go that "Halloween at the Castro" street thing but nobody wanted to go. no ride = no go. haha. Natasha and Shahru went and said it was hella fun. So unless I get hired back to work in Cali after graduation, my chances of going to another crazy street fest is close to none. It was Hottie's surprise b-day party last night, and most of us showed up for that. I kinda feel bad not getting her anything, esp one of those gag T-Shirt that says "hottie" on it. BUT....It wouldn't be fair getting her a gift when I didn't get Chris or Shahru anything. The party was really fun because I've never ever been a part of any surprise party before. It felt just like TV. The novelty still hasn't worn off yet. I got pretty wired on Asahi's and Grant's Whisky. I remember falling asleep because I was so tired or drunk.
