According to an H&R Block commercial, the average American has 14 credit cards and over $7000 in unpaid balances. Where do they get those stats?! I'm sort of an average American (at least, for the next 9 months) and I don't have $7k in debts! In fact think credit cards are great for tracking my expenses because every purchase I make appears on my online banking statement which allows me to budget properly. I really can't understand how people can get themselves into so much debt. Maybe H&R Block is talking about people like CY :P
